We Cuban believe and practice the Yoruba religion
Yoruba religion homeland is in Southwestern Nigeria and the adjoining parts of Benin and Togo, a region that has come to be known as Yorubaland. During the Atlantic slave trade it was exported to the Americas, where it has influenced or given birth to thriving ways of life such as Lucumí, Umbanda and Candomblé.

The total complex of songs, histories, stories, language, dance, healing, rituals, and other cultural concepts which make up the Yorùbá society. Not only do we believe in a god but in many gods. The gods as people have different tastes, feelings, preferences, mood, etc.

We who practice this religion do that for helping them selves and all people who need help. But in this religion as in every other religions there will always be critisism of others who don't know about this religion. My personal advise to you is not to get information from movies or books where stories are just stories for keeping the audiens attention- blood, horror & drama always sells.  If you wanna know about this religion try to get close to someone who knows the religion(Babalawos or Santeros). Try to get an idea about what it is and whether you understand make questions.
